Castillo's has some of the most lovely treats in the neighborhood. Their cakes are stunning and they have a great variety of other treats available. I love their cookies, they're always decked out and just sweet enough to take care of a craving without a full on sugar rush. Glad to have them in the community!

Don't undermine this fantastic bakery! They have some of the best conchas and churros my husband and I have ever had! I'm a new Twin Cities transplant from the Chicagoland area and this comes about as close as my panaderías back home. The slices of chocoflan and tres leches are massive! Highly recommend.

So happy we finally stopped in here!! Spend $7 and left with a slice of tres leches and 4 pastries. The Bavarian empanada was so much better than any donut I've ever had- I'm a convert! Super friendly service, looking forward to getting all my baked goods here from now on.

The bread is great but I still prefer don panchos bakery. I just feel like their bread is warmer and they have bollilos fresh out of the oven.

I love to explore St. Paul and discovered this EXTREMELY popular local family bakery a few months ago. Everyone buys their white bread and many traditional Mexican pastries. What I LOVE is the HOMEMADE TAMALES‼‼‼ They have a wonderful one with cheese and a little pepper but not spicy, then they have chicken and pork. Each is I believe about $1.95 each, and beautifully created, light, fresh and wrapped in wax paper. I go home and create my own red enchilada sauce with a touch of mole, Mexican dried seasoned garlic, sazon completa , chiles de ancho and other tiny bits of fresh dried chiles I buy in big mercados in the San Diego / imperial Beach area of CA. I also adore Tres Leches cakes made with milk, condensed milk, and evaporated milk and many times some whipped cream . I love to take fresh strawberries slice them thin sprinkle a medium amt of sugar on them , mix then cover them, put in the frig. Later you have fresh strawberries with its own natural strawberry juice. Pour this heaven over your tres leches cake slice. YUM‼

Great Mexican bakery. They have all the Mexican favorites (tres leches) to Mexican variants of classics (croissants). They also have premade and custom cakes. When the urge for baked goods hit, Castillo's is the place. By the way, they don't have coffee, good thing a Caribou is nearby.

Diamond in the Strip-Mall Rough We pass by this bakery on a regular basis and never had the time to venture inside before this visit. We are all very glad that we did stop in. We purchased a giant M&M cookie for the boy, some puff pastry and some unusual-looking items that are similar to gingerbread. The puff pastry were very nice, with just enough of the fruit filling to make it delicious, yet not too sweet. The gingerbread items have some sort of a yellow-colored filling from which we couldn't detect a flavor. That being said, we plan on buying them again because they're delicious! If you're in the neighborhood, stop by. You won't be disappointed.

This bakery might have opened about a year ago and my family have stopped in more than a dozen times. It's located in Signal Hills, a strip mall off Butler and Robert St. in West Saint Paul. It's located right next to the post office. Very clean, very good pastries. I especially love the ones with pineapple filling inside. They also have delicious breads and specialty treats. The "pay de queso" is worth a try. It has the same texture as a cheesecake but not as sweet. The bakery also carries other goods traditionally found in Mexican grocery stores like imported spices, candies, tortillas and piñatas. They take credit cards but I do not think they take AMEX. I really like this place. When I have more people to feed, I am definitely ordering one of their flans. They look so tasty!
